#PINGZAPPER PORT SOFTWARE#
Your the only troll here, comming to the thread to offer nothing other than suggesting using 3rd party software to connect to a game with limited server locations. LOL, the AU population using japan servers are more than likely on the east coast, which is where the international links head out from, and or using VPN software to boot, or worse still just accept the 90's grade ping because there is no other choice. They don't report many lag issues and you've completely ignored using VPNs if you do.Įither your connection is screwed up or you're trolling. How SEGA works is a mystery, the world may never know.Originally posted by Seraphna:The Japanese server is located in Tokyo. For these situations, my IP, computer and general location have changed multiple times and yet only 2 authentication were sent. Even coming back to Guam caused no problems. I have only gotten the authentication twice at my friend's apartment. I have played PSO2 at net cafes in Japan on their computers, and through public networks on my VITA. I am unsure on how SEGA does their authentication. Websites like Facebook use cookies to identify. There are other means to determine if you are using a different computer.
#PINGZAPPER PORT MAC#
Second, if the destination was looking for MACs it would only see the MAC of the last network/node hop before it. People have been saying VPN changes your MAC and IP. Since said program would log your personal MAC, and send it over unchanged. However if this was the case in PSO2, then even if you use a VPN, SSH or other magic, your MAC address would never change. Gameguard is basically a rootkit, so it is a possibility. It is possible that a program can log your MAC address then send it over to the destination server. By standard uses, MAC addresses are usually not available outside of your local network. It doe not get passed upstream to a website/server that you are accessing via intermediate routers. MAC address only identifies your NIC on the local network level. You cannot change your MAC to begin with, unless you spoof it. Personal MAC address are only used on a local network, like a university or company. No server across the internet can ever see your MAC address. It is not possible for your personal MAC address to be retrieved through the internet. Since recently a lot of people are flooding PZ for PSO2, there is a chance of SEGA taking some action towards it, but not guaranteed.Īlso, someone earlier was talking about how it only changes your IP but not your MAC address. Your IP will always change, be it VPN or SSH Tunneling. SSH Tunneling is also considered a poor man's VPN. Basically the same, but the level of security and the layer of connection is different. VPN secures at a network level and all traffic, SSH does it at port level and individual connections. VPN and SSH Tunneling work similarly but are different in other ways. I have been reading some of the recent posts, both here and on PSO-W.
